. A trio of inked and partially carved linoleum blocks: 1 cm thick each measuring approximately 17.14 x 11.43 cm. Undated [c.1950].
Three unique blocks exhibiting multiple designs in varying degrees of completion. No creator's markings however, clearly rendered by an experienced and stylized hand.
Block One has five unique bookplate designs and is entirely uncarved. The patterns include a capital "D" entwined with foliage; a potted leafy plant on a shelf carved with 'EX-LIBRIS'; a vertical composition with Art Deco style letters 'AV' set in thinly ruled sides; a Moorish vignette of building and palms silhouetted against a darkened sky; a small squared composition of bed and arched bars.
Block Two: A horizontally formatted block with two scenes. On the left is an uncarved bucolic scene of a three tiered house flanked by poplar trees. On the right side is a carved scene of trees in a flat landscape.
Block Three: Geometric shapes in relief. Background carved. Item #7037
