Lowry-James Rare Prints & Books was established in 1986 by Priscilla Anne Lowry, art historian passionate about the art and writing by John James Audubon, early naturalist explorers and illustrators, and the fine art of Natural History from the 16th - 19th centuries. As former member of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America she served on the Board of Governors and Chaired the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the ABAA.
Over the past three decades as a rare print and booksellers Lowry-James has had the pleasure of placing several important Natural History and Voyaging works in prominent collections including complete sets of John James Audubon's The Birds of America and The Quadrupeds of North America, The Three Voyages of Captain James Cook; The Hawksworth Edition, George Perry's Conchology, and George Shaw's The Naturalists' Miscellany.
